Atelier BLEND gives its participants the opportunity to have as ordinary and meaningful a day as possible. We work towards a respectful and valuable future with an eye for individual needs and possibilities, on the basis of equality.
We continue to do this:
- Providing individual attention and emotional support so that a relationship of trust can be established
- accepting the individuality of the participant and responding as much as possible to his specific request for care
- create opportunities for the further development and training of the participants.
- to respect and encourage the autonomy of the participants
- adapt guidance and care as much as possible to everyone's pace and needs
- paying attention to the participation of each individual, but also more broadly, by providing support for participation in work and leisure activities
- to have an eye for and support the social relations of the participant, both inside and outside the workshop
- respect relationships between participants, including the possibility of partner relationships of participants and between participants.
- provide support in the normal activities of everyday life (hygienic care, meals, household chores)
- organise daytime activities and workshop activities with a sufficient and varied offer under minimum performance pressure
- providing incentives and challenges in various areas
- paying attention to participation in culture and to the ability to pursue hobbies
- make time and space for parties
Atelier BLEND recognizes the important place of family in the total care for participants.
The importance of the participant remains in the foreground:
- providing clear and sufficient information about the operation and possibilities
- good communication with the family/representative at both formal and informal moments
- to listen and be open to suggestions, comments and information from the participant/relatives/representative and persons concerned
- invite the family/representative to meetings and other special activities
Atelier BLEND does not want to be a world on its own, but wants to come out into the open to let society get to know the participants and to encourage the appreciation of the individuality of the participants in the environment and, where possible, to promote integration through:
- stimulating and maintaining external contacts together with the participants
- to be open to the people of the neighbourhood and the region
- attract volunteers
- cooperate with other organisations on overarching activities
- taking steps towards society to make ourselves known
- participate with the participants in activities outside the Atelier
